Electrical panel upgrades and replacements in Miami-Dade
An old or undersized panel limits what your home can run, and some older panels are a known safety and insurance problem. We replace and upgrade panels and services, with the permit, the utility coordination and the inspection handled.
Signs it's time for a new panel
- Breakers trip often, or lights dim when the A/C starts
- You're adding a new A/C, an EV charger, a pool or an addition
- Your insurance company flagged the panel
- The panel is rusted, hot, buzzing or has scorch marks
- You're running out of breaker spaces
- Older fuse boxes or panels that are no longer made
How a panel upgrade works
We look at what the house needs now and what you plan to add, and size the panel and service for it. Then we pull the permit, coordinate the power shut-off with the utility when needed, swap the panel, and get it inspected.
Most panel swaps take a day, with the power off for part of it. We'll tell you exactly when.
Common questions
Do I need a permit to replace an electrical panel?
Yes. Panel replacements and service upgrades need an electrical permit and inspection in Florida. We handle it.
Will my insurance care about my panel?
Many Florida insurers ask about the panel type and age, and some won't cover homes with certain older panels. A replacement with a permit gives you the paperwork they ask for.
